We are now increasing our bank of educational leaders or practitioners as they are sometimes known, in preparation for the return to delivering sessions after the last year of lockdowns.
Our workshops are delivered all over the UK with increasing enquiries from the London Area as well as Manchester, however, as we are Shropshire based the majority of our workshops are in the West Midlands.
We offer a variety of workshops from our immersive history sessions to anti bullying workshops, musical theatre, drama, story exploration, PHSE, Anti Bullying and more. We offer many bespoke sessions and themes to suit the curriculum and do not offer a one size fits all approach.
Our workshops are all created by our lead team and all information needed and training is provided - whether that be via zoom or in person.
Who are we looking for?
Freelance leaders available to work during the average school day - often arriving at venue for 8:30am and leaving around 3pm
Experience in a school/educational setting
Ability to adapt on the spot to suit your learners
Engaging performers over 18 years old for assistant or 21 for leader with a passion for sharing knowledge
Ability and confidence to deliver to both small and large groups (full schools) both on your own or with a workshop assistant.
Willingness to travel up to 3 hours to a venue with your own transport (fuel is covered)
Lots of energy and enthusiasm
Great communication with both the ReachOut Team and the staff at the venue you are visiting and commitment to any bookings made.
If you have the ability to make learning fun and give students an inspiring change to the normal school day, whilst ensuring that you are delivering to the learning outcomes as requested by our teachers then this could be for you!
Our pay rates vary depending on your experience, the location of the session and the workshop type.
You will need to be registered as self employed and hold a fully enhanced DBS on the update service
(new DBS can be obtained via us should you need it for approx £50)
Own vehicle* - particularly for the history sessions due to the amount of resources required.
You will need to hold a child protection certificate or take a child protection course - we can provide a link to free/affordable courses
A teaching/coaching qualification - at level 3 or above and/or 2+ years relevant experience

Classroom teaching experience (If you have other teaching experience - we will discuss at interview stage)
Please note: our educational props and resources are all in Shropshire, so in order to be considered as an educational leader with us you will need to be able to visit us in order to collect relevant items for your upcoming workshops as well as return them after the session.

As we are still in the process of returning to normal, work is not yet guaranteed and is solely based on the bookings coming in, however, we anticipate the return to in person learning will mean that our services will be required frequently . This role would be on an ad hoc basis as bank staff. With opportunity to be put forward to work as bank staff in our event business - ReachOut Creative - as a performer also.
