About us: 

ReachOut Arts is a Bridgnorth based company with two departments, ReachOut Educate is our successful provision for educational settings with options for nursery to adult education. Our specialisms are Anti Bullying and Living History with our Medieval Days programme - focusing on Tudor, Viking, Roman & Middle Ages. We also offer Bespoke programmes that cover the majority of the curriculum, supporting educators in bringing a subject to life in an engaging and educational way.

ReachOut Creative is home to our creative consultancy and theatre and events company, offering a creative eye for businesses. We work with our clients from concept to delivery covering all areas of event set up including theatrical production from idea to stage. 

 

 Workshop Practitioner 

 

This position is an ad hoc role within our exciting and fast growing Educate department where you will spend time on the road delivering our immersive workshops in schools up and down the country - whilst some workshops may be in local settings they are often around the country, you could find yourself working down in Kent one day and Manchester the next - never a dull day here!

When workshops are booked you will be visiting schools across the UK covering a variety of curriculum topics with the most popular being History and Anti Bullying. 

 

Location: Bridgnorth based office to join your co worker with our company van and all of the equipment required for the workshop with visits off site to various schools around the UK as and when required

Hours: ad hoc days - year round - primarily term time with some school holiday work. The more bookings we get, the more work we can offer to you. 

Pay: Above minimum wage plus holiday pay

Accommodation also provided for overnight stays when location requires.

 

All Training provided

Essential: 

Good time management

Good availability during weekdays

Great communication skills

Willing to travel and stay overnight when required- our workshops often require early starts to arrive at schools anywhere in the UK on time for the school day to begin. 

Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS (paid for by us) 

 

Desirable: 

Previous experience of working with children or young people in an educational setting

If over 25 years old, a clean driving license - in order to drive our company van.

Initially this role will be a one year contract with potential to continue after completion.
